MONDAY, September 20
We depart the United States today on our overnight flight from Minneapolis/St.Paul Airport to Zürich/ Switzerland. During the trans-Atlantic portion of our flight, we enjoy complimentary meal and beverage service and in– flight entertainment.
TUESDAY, September 21 Locarno (D)
Upon our arrival in Zurich we collect our luggage, meet our coach transport outside the airport to be transferred to Locarno. After check in you will have some time to relax. Dinner is waiting for us, after dinner time for exploring the town. Or enjoy yourself at the bar for a drink or use the pool, check out the accommodations.
WEDNESDAY, September 22 Stresa (B,D)
Today we get to see the most beautiful area of Lago Maggiore. We take the bus to Stresa a town on the Italian side, from there we take a boat to visit the Borromeo Islands, Isola Bella, Isola Madre and Pescatori. On Lake Orta we drive back by bus to the Hotel for dinner. Again you have the evening to enjoy Lago Maggiore.
THURSDAY, September 23 Milano (B,D)
Today we travel to the Capital City of Northern Italy, Milano the fashion center of the world. We have a City Guide in the morning but have the afternoon off for sightseeing. Destinations in Lombardy are Lake Garda, Como, Iseo and Maggiore and the the important cities apart from the Capital is Mantua and Bergamo.
FRIDAY, September 24 Zermatt (B,D)
After breakfast we leave by bus and drive via Domodossola to Täsch where we take a train to Zermatt to see the Matterhorn, it is only a short train ride. The bus can’t go to Zermatt. You have the option to take the Gornergratbahn to the best sightseeing point of the Gornergrat. You are on your own for lunch. We have dinner at the hotel.
SATURDAY, September 25 San Bernadino (B,D)
Today you have to be fit for as we are traveling over 3 large Passes, first we take the San Bernadino and Via Mala the Oberalpass and later over the Gotthard Pass.
Gotthard Pass San Bernardino Pass (el. 2063 m.) is a high mountain pass in the Swiss Alps connecting the Hinterrhein and the Mesolcina (Misox) valleys between Thusis Graubünden) and Bellinzona it is not to be confused with the Great St. Bernard Pass and the Little St. Bernard Pass. The top of the pass represents both the Italo-German language frontier and the watershed (drainage divide) between the Po basin and the Rhine basin.
SUNDAY, September 26 Bellinzona (B,D)
After breakfast we load our luggage and leave for Aeschi via Bellinzona, the Citta de Castelli. The historic city center is part of UNESCO. Here we have a guided tour. After lunch we move in to our new hotel. Bellinzona has always occupied an important geographic location in the Alps. Several key alpine passes, including the Nufenen, St. Gotthard, Lukmanier, San Bernardino and the Poebene, all meet in the area around Bellinzona making it a key trading center.
MONDAY, September 27 Geneva (B,D)
After breakfast we visit the Capitol of the French Swiss Geneva, a local guide will join us to show us the city. After lunch we drive to Montreux to see Chateau Chillon a famous Chateau on Lake Geneva. Dinner at hotel
TUESDAY, September 28 Gruyere (B,D)
Today is going to be a lot of fun visiting a cheese maker and a chocolate maker. We visit Caillers-Nestlé chocolate maker located in the town of Broc. At the foot of the Pre-Alps, you will be enchanted by the charm and picturesque architecture of the medieval town of Gruyères. The town has given its name to the area and to its delicious cheese. Come and explore a little town that's been unaffected by the passage of time, built in a superb setting.
WEDNESDAY, September 29 Grindelwald (B,D)
Grindelwald is among one of Europe's oldest mountain resorts and lies in a valley situated in the beautiful Bernese Oberland on the northern side of the Alps. Grindelwald is surrounded by the spectacular mountain trio "Eiger, Mönch & Jungfrau" and the small town looks back on a long standing tradition in tourism. It combines a foreground full of country charm - fields planted with fruit trees or maples and dotted with pretty dwellings - with a grand rocky barrier stretching from the shoulder of the Wetterhorn to the pyramid of the Eiger.
THURSDAY, September 30 Lucern (B,D)
River banks on both sides are clustered with medieval squares, frescoed houses, ancient guildhalls, churches and chapels, and filled with a liveliness that belies the city’s age. Aside from using Luzern as a base from which to explore the region, it would be easy to spend at least a couple of days taking in some of its quality museums –The center of Lucerne is a pedestrian area of cobbled streets bordered by houses, shops and hotels painted in medieval style or decorated with displays of flowers. Above the old town is the original city wall from which you can admire the splendor and variety of the scenery.
FRIDAY, October 1 Departure (B)
After breakfast we load our luggage and make our way back to the airport in Zurich. The trip is coming to an end.

Terms and Conditions
Payment Schedule
A $ 1000.00 payment is due by January 15th with the application. A second payment of $1000.00 is due on April 15th, 2010, final payment is due on June 15th, 2010. Please make all checks/money orders payable to Winzer Stube European Adventures Tours. All personal checks, money orders or cashier’s checks will be deposited upon receipt; Any late payments and returned checks will result in a $ 25.00 fee. In the interest of keeping tour costs as low as possible, we do not accept credit cards.
Cancellation Policy
All cancellations must be in writing. No cancellations will be accepted over the phone. After enrollment, should you decide to cancel at any time up until April 15th, 2010 there will be a $250.00 administration fee. The cancellation penalty from July 15th, 2010 no refund is possible.
Tour Price
Tour price is based on the cost of accommodations, admissions and the value of the dollar as of September 20th, 2009 and is subject to change reflecting the dollar’s value. If any currency or airfare assessment other than fuel surcharges needs to be made, it will be made by July 30th, 2010.We reserve the right to assess surcharges such as airline imposed fuel surcharges whenever they are announced.
Air Transportation
All air transportation is via a regularly scheduled air carrier. Airfare is based on special group prices and current departure taxes and is subject to modification.
Extensions & Deviations
Extensions and deviations may be available and is subject to additional airfare costs. A participant may choose to secure his/her own airfare and purchase a land -only package. Land-only participants are responsible for securing and paying for all transfers required joining and/or leaving the group’s itinerary.
Medical Insurance & Trip Cancellation Insurance
Regular trip cancellation, personal health and accident, and baggage insurance is not included, but is recommended. Information about these types of insurance will be sent upon receipt of the application and deposit, and is available for purchase through Kelly Gervais at Tubby Lohmer Travel.
Responsibility
Winzer Stube European Adventures, Tubby Lohmer Travel and any other representatives, including but not limited to, tour leaders as well as the airlines concerned, shall not under any circumstances be liable under or by reason of this agreement directly or indirectly for any accident, injury, delay, damage, or inconvenience caused to the client by negligence of others, by malfunctions of transportation systems or equipment, by acts of God, by acts of war or rebellion, terrorism, strike, theft, or itinerary changes or cancellations; Payment for any damages to hotel room or bus caused by participant’s direct or indirect actions are the sole responsibility of him/her
Miscellaneous
Participants on Winzer Stube European Adventures tours must have a passport valid for 6 month beyond the return date of the tour. Participants who are not US citizens are responsible for securing any required entry visas.
A rebooking or name change fee of $ 150.00 plus
any additional charges by the airlines will apply to any changes to
tickets that must be reissued due to name changes or corrections or
circumstances that delay a traveler’s departure.
